On occasions, and only when it is thoroughly deserved, Cairde Rince Céilí na hÉireann formally recognises people who have given a lifetime of voluntary service to the promotion of non-competitive céilí dancing. It is a token of appreciation and an acknowledgement that their work has not gone unnoticed.
